Father of Ulysses and King of Ithaca, who hunted the Calydonian Boar. (Ship adopted by Didcot). (1945). Green; two boar spears in saltire gold headed white interlaced and suspended therefrom by a rib and a bugle horn gold. A river and lough of Ireland. The harp is an Irish emblem. (1939). Blue; a fountain charged with a harp stringed gold. Charles Lennox was Duke of Richmond and son of Charles II. (Ship adopted by Erith, Kent).(1943). White; four roses red slipped and leaved in saltire proper. The statue presented by France to the United States. (1943). Blue; the Statue of Liberty in New York harbour white.

Gold; a leopard’s mask black tongue mouth and teeth proper eye black rimmed yellow. In 1669 Capt. Kempthorne in this ship, beat off seven Algerines and saved his convoy. He was knighted. Mary Rose was the sister of Henry VIII who married Louis XII of France and later Charles Brandon, Duke of Suffolk. (1944). White; within a wreath of laurel green a fleur-de-lys blue surmounted by a rose per pale white and red barbed and seeded proper.
