The memorial stone is located in Old Portsmouth, at Governor's Green, on a path running from the Royal Garrison Church to Kings Bastion.
It was commemorated at a service, and unveiled on 14th May 2000 by Mrs Ann Esckersley-Maslin, wife of the then President of the Algerines Association, Vice-Admiral Eskersley-Maslin CB. The event took place during the Annual Reunion of the Association.
Details from the head of the stone is illustrated and finally the list of ships on the stone is also tabulated concluding with details of those lost on active service.
