Recognised by the Royal Navy

The Algerines Association was formed in 1984. Its Aims and Objects, as stated in its Constitution, are:
a) to bring together in mutual friendship those who served in ships of the Algerine Class.
b) to assist each other as necessary.
c) to keep members in contact with each other by means of a quarterly magazine known as "THE SWEEPER" and meeting etc.
d) to establish and maintain links with the Royal Navy and other suitable organisations, so to preserve the Algerine name.
